Southport Central WI has a thriving book club which meets monthly in members homes. Our most recent  meeting was on Thursday 18th February where Emma welcomed us into her lovely home, and even baked a very tasty cake using a W.I. Recipe.

Twelve members met to discuss our January/February book which was Room written by Emma Donoghue. It proved to be one of the liveliest discussions in the history of our book club with most members loving it.

We are now starting our next book but as so many people turned up I ran out of books as the library only supplied ten!

Our next book is called Our Party but unfortunately I’ve forgotten who wrote it as I am one of the people who didn’t get a book!

Our meetings are held on the third Thursday in the month, our next hostess is Yvonne and we look forward to another lively social evening.
