We enjoyed a walk through the light installations along Lord Street in Southport, followed by drinks in the Southport Football Clun community cafe.

We’ll go somewhere where there’s cheese’ was the cry so in November the Scarlets did!
We visited the recently reopened Harris Museum in Preston where the opening exhibition was Wallace & Gromit: A Case at the Museum was taking place.
This was followed by refreshments including cheese on toast at a nearby Gran Cafe.
A grand day out was had by all!

This month Scarlets visited the Wirral where we enjoyed a guided tour of Birkenhead Park designed by Joseph Paxton; assisted by Edward Kemp; on which New York’s Central Park is based on. Later Edward Kemp laid out Southport’s Hesketh Park possibly to the design of Joseph Paxton.

Following the tour & walk through the parkland we travelled the short distance to West Kirby to enjoy the views of the Welsh coastline, Hilbre Island & refreshments.
Tuesday 29th April ‘Clouds’ (a student run restaurant) held an American evening, their last themed event for this academic year
Several Southport Scarlets enjoyed a lovely meal including BBQ ribs, Cajun spiced chicken and key lime pie washed down with special cocktails
A great evening, looking forward to more special evenings later in the year
