WI’s world tour with Southport’s restaurants

KatsuriJanuary saw the dining club carry on their world tour with a trip to India and a visit to the Kasturi restaurant on Eastbank Street. The staff there were friendly and wonderfully welcoming,  even bringing samples to one fussy eater who wanted something that wasn’t fattening but not too spicy. There was a large selection to choose from one the menu, including a comprehensive vegetarian menu. The portions were generous and everyone commented on how delicious the food was. It was also reasonable priced at only £15 a head including wine.

The evening was finished off with a quiz from our host with lollipops as prizes, and questions such as what does the word Kasturi mean? (perfume).

My craving for after dinner mints was easily satisfied with an entire box of after dinner mints – to share not just for me.

The manager there made the evening, definitely worth another visit.
